Well i have to do a thing for chinese school geography and its really hard to fine these things. Here are the questions

What provinces does the Yangtze river flow through?

Where does the Yangtze river empty?

About how long is it ( i think i have this)

name 3 tributaries and their locations?

These are all of the ones that i need. Just one answer would be fine

You’re in for a treat should you go on a Yangtze River Cruise(I am Owner of a Travel Agency). Technically they call them “tours” but they’re enjoyable nonetheless. Lots to see, the culture is interesting, the food is very good; if you shop then you’ll be happy there.

The Chinese always called it the Chang Jiang. The pronunciation was changed to Yangtze by misinformed westerners. Just like the name of the capital of China – Beijing. For years, westerners called it Pepin or Peking, etc. Western ears do not hear Chinese sounds well and western mouths cannot copy the sounds well. Same thing for Chinese ears hearing western sounds.

Scenic Airlines uses YR for their ticketing, etc. so that might be Yangtze River (although in the phonetic alphabet it should be Yankee Romeo…)

So this is a stretch…it’s based out of Boulder and has charters to Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, etc…so this may not be the same.

China’s government provides heat to the country based on the Yangtze River . . . if you are north of the river, you receive heat and if you are south of the river, you do not! It’s not based on actual temperature, but on mere location.

Loosely phrased, the country is split into “northern” and “southern” China.

This has an interesting slide show on China and includes references to books, etc. It uses the terminology “north and south China” in reference to the Yangtze River.
