Question by : Easiest/Fastest way to get a travel job ?
I live in Canada

The reason for getting a travel job is because I really want to travel and I have no money. So the job would be temporary, Im going to school next year, I just want to travel this year somehow

The options I’ve thought about already are
1.applying to cruise ships
2.Applying to airlines for cabin crew (once hired they provide training)
3.Take a TESOL diploma course and apply to English teaching jobs (Ive heard a lot of people do this, but it’s limited to Asia, mostly China)

Go work on a processor in Alaska, you’ll get some travel in, all ocean travel but travel.

Its for a UK* based travel agency.There are 4 major GDS system(Airline Reservation System*) for travel agent to book or reserve air ticket or hotel or cruise.They are Amedues,Worldspan,Galileo and Sabre…i need to find out which one is suitable for my travel agency(non IATA or ATOL**) interms of booking air ticket, check out fare and reservation.Mostly I’ll deal with Air India*,British Airlines*, Pakistan Int.Airlines*, Biman Bamgladesh Airlines*, Thai Air,Jet Air*, Emirates Airline*, Gulf Air*, Ittihad Airlines*,Kuwait Air, Qatar Airlines*, Air China, Virgin Atlantic*,Singapore Airlines, Luftahnsa Airlines,Delata Airlines and some airlines for Australia, Canada, Brazil,USA.

I would reccommend using Sabre – but then again – all GDS systems charge a fee – so you may want to look into
which GDS charges less for their usage.

I want to go to jamaica and China, Japan. India and go to all the spiritual places. I definitely want to visit Jerusalem and the Holy Land.

I want to go take a cruise to alaska.
And New Zeland.
Egypt. The pyramids
All the haunted hot spots in the world.
and Africa. And tahiti

I want to go somewhere dramatic like I was in a movie or something. That’s like: the desert, a really good beach resort, northern Alaska where it’s daylight for half the year and night the other half, the Amazon jungle, an ice cave, someplace where the sky is a different color for a long time, someplace new, really. Though I might never be in any movies it’s not stopping me from doing something cool.

Question by Chun: can I travel on a cruise-Western Caribbean with my green card and passport(china)?
I am thinking about going on a cruise to Western Caribbean with my husband BUT i’m not sure what documents do I need.
I am a permanent resident of united states with a green card. I have China passport. Do I need to obtain any visas before I leave? my passport expires in Dec. 27,2011, and I want to sail on May 7, 2011, will it be okay? it still got six months.
Carnival Cruise : the ports: starts in New Orleans, LA, then Belize, Mahogany Bay, Isla Roatan ,Cozumel, Mexico, back to New Orleans, LA.

You’ll be fine. Take the green card and your passport and just to be safe anything else you have that proves you’re here legally.

You’re in for a treat should you go on a Yangtze River Cruise(I am Owner of a Travel Agency). Technically they call them “tours” but they’re enjoyable nonetheless. Lots to see, the culture is interesting, the food is very good; if you shop then you’ll be happy there.

Depending on your travel departure and return date and what your Travel budget will allow will dictate what Yangtze River travel packages are available to you.
