Question by b: China pollution-Dams and Stakeholders?
Hi! I’m doing a research project on China and it’s water pollution. I have a couple questions:
1) Will the Three Gorges Dam help with the water pollution in the Yangtze River? Can dams help with pollution in general?
2) What would three main stakeholders be for the water pollution in China? For sure I know the government is one.
Thanks!

1) I have not heard of dams solving the problem of water pollution. If anything, it might make pollution in the river upstream of the dam worse, since some pollutants might be stopped and collected at the dam.
2) Besides the government, it would be the people living in the area who are dependent on that water for living, drinking, cooking, and farming. Maybe the third one is local businesses.
