Now, an estimated 2 billion mice are ravaging crops in 22 counties around the lake, and authorities were rushing to construct walls and ditches to keep the rodents out. Residents have killed more than 2.3 million field mice – or 90 tons of the rodents, Xinhua said.

How can that be? China only has 1.3 Billion people.

Right, because according the the laws of nature and physics, a country can only have as many mice as inhabitants and each person can only kill one mouse.

It depends on which city are you going to. Usually in Shanghai and Peking are more expansive, but everyone include the chinese wants to live there, and it also depends if you want to live in the center of the city or in the countryside. Living costs would be at least 450 pounds.

where can I sell my cruise tickets?

Question by Koolaid: where can I sell my cruise tickets?
I bought a Bahams Vacational Packages last year, but this year we have go to China and can’t use it. So i am trying to sell it on Ebay, since I posted it on ebay few days now and nobody really check it out, I ‘m concerned about it, cuz the tickets expires this on October. Does anyone know where can I sell these cruise tickets beside Ebay??

Best answer:

Answer by timetravler
You should be able to simply cancel this cruise and get your money back. Most cruise companies refund your money if it is more then 120 days before sailing. I’m not sure it is legal to sell your cruise vacation, but maybe it is. I just don’t know about that. It is much easier to cancel a cruise then it is to try to sell it.

What was the relationship between the culture of the Yellow River and that of the Yangtze Valley?

Question by {KorkSkrew+~: What was the relationship between the culture of the Yellow River and that of the Yangtze Valley?

Best answer:

Answer by harveymac1336
Chinese civilization begins in northeast China along the Huang Ho, the Yellow River (Honan, Shantung, and Shensi provinces). Perhaps by about 10,000 B.C. Chinese culture developed from the Yangshao and the Longshan cultures. The Yangshao culture reached the peak of its development about 3,000 B.C. The mythical Xia (Shia) Dynasty is believed to be China’s first dynasty. China’s history becomes historic with the Shang Dynasty (1766 B.C.). So Chinese culture developed first along the Yellow River valley in the northeast. It spread out from there to other parts of what is now China. I don’t think there was an early Chinese culture in the Yangtse valley. I hope that this has been a help to you.
