I would say Europe…I’ve lived there before and I talked my mom into gettin out of the army and coming back to the U.S….after i left i realized how much i actually loved living there. If you love castles and the medivel theme, then i highly advise Europe. Also (if your from the U.S.) its a good chance to see where part of our culture branched from. Also i find russia an intresting place to visit… Though i would like to see china and the great wall, i gotta say i would like to pay europe one more visit….(i’ve been to germany, austria, switzerland and amsterdam before….beautiful places)

I have a question about visa’s and vaccinations?

Question by Chelsea: I have a question about visa’s and vaccinations?
In September, I’m going on a 22 day cruise to Alaska, Russia, Japan, South Korea, and China.

I live in California, where do I go to get Visa’s for these countries? Can I do it online? And where can I find more information?

Also, what/is there any vaccinations I will need for Russia, Japan, South Korea, and China? Where can I find information on this?
Also, I can’t find my passport at the moment, if I have to order a new one, how much is it and how long does it take?

Best answer:

Answer by Jennifer B
1 – the passport. You need to do this first so you can get the visa for each country needed stamped into the passport. Go to http://travel.state.gov/passport/lost/lost_849.html . You’ll need to fill out a form to report the stolen passport, and also fill out forms and apply in person for a new passport.

It could take 6-8 weeks to get the new passort, and will cost $ 100 (not including cost of pictures and the local passport processing fees if any).

#2. Visa – You should not need a visa for Japan or South Korea. You do need a visa for Russia and China. Go to the website for the consulates of Russia and China in the United States and they will tell you what you need to do to get the visa. Usually it involves an application and fees to be paid. If you are close enough to the consulate you can usually do this in person. And if you don’t live close enough, you’ll send them the paperwork, fees and your passport by courier.

#3 Immunization – double check this list from the Centers from Disease Control regarding immunizations to where you will be visiting/what you will be doing in each country. Your doctor may be able to give you these immunizations. If he/she cannot, then look for a “travel medicine clinic”

Does anyone actually like China?

Question by N S: Does anyone actually like China?
To begin with, let’s just be clear that this is an attack on China, not the Chinese.
Let’s face it, to the West and to most other nations, China represents an enormous threat. It continues to expand militarily, build nuclear weapons, consume resources at an incredible rate and its economy increases exponentially, as does its population. It consumes and pollutes with no regard for the rest of the world or the environment, and represents an authoritarian bulwark of Communism to many nations. The Yangtze river dolphin just went extinct due to a non-existent concern to preserve any form of wildlife or biosphere, and instead a focus on industry and expansion- the Chinese contribute the most to Global Warming, yet they are doing the least to stop it. It also slowly but surely destroy its fantastic culture and history through Communist principles- the future China will be bland. And if World War 3 breaks out, it’s going to be us versus China- this is not a simplistic assumption- it’s widely accepted. It displays expansionist and imperialistic behaviour such as with the Tibet situation, a deplorable attitude towards human rights, and it’s predicted that there will be a small war against India in the next few years involving Himalayan borders. I think it’s pretty clear who the world will support then.

If you disagree with the above statement, I’d love to know the other side of the argument. I know it might be controversial, but that’s my opinion on China at the moment. What do you think?

Actually, many Chinese don’t really like China- it’s oppressive and authoritarian. Remember the Tianamen Square massacre? Think about the way it’s dealing with the Uighurs. Most Chinese people are indifferent towards it- it provides jobs because of big building projects, but it is not a free society.

Question by Congi: around what time period were the tigres and euphrates rivers used? also indus and ganges? huang he &yangtze ?

Best answer:

Answer by loveanonymoty
I am familiar with the tigres and euphrates river of mesopotamia. During the neolithic period, men discovered how to domesticate animals and cultivate food and in turn, civilization occurred. Permanent constructions of settlements usually occur near rivers. And also during this period the discovery of using copper alloy in conjuction with tin created a stronger metal, bronze. So I would confidently say during the late neolithic period.

I am going with a large group to China with Tibet being part of the trip….?

Question by blnbyrose: I am going with a large group to China with Tibet being part of the trip….?
and then going on a trip up the Yangtze river for a few days. Our group will be about 20 people. We will spend the last 4 days in Beijing. I have been to Beijing once but would like to know if anyone has any recomendations on what to do there? We will be staying within walking distance of Tieneman Square and the Forbiden City. We will see that stuff. Any ideas on cool stuff to take people to when we are there? For instance any restaurants or attractions that you really liked? We will go to the great wall also just looking for a unique experience of something that maybe is not done by your average tourist. We will be on our own so anything is possible. Thank you.

Like 1930s-1940s, could Japan invade China again ?

Question by peculationRetard: Like 1930s-1940s, could Japan invade China again ?
1) Japan has dropped the Peaceful Clause in Japan Constitution under US guidance.

2) It sends military men to fight in Iraq.

3) It’s military ship is cruising Indian Ocean to assist US warship.

Best answer:

Answer by mazariamonti
no, china is one of the world’s emerging super powers, japan was completely crushed to the ground in ww2, we took away all of their military might, to rebuild everything, and just try to invade china for no apparent reason, there is no possible way they could pull it off, they just aren’t powerful enough.
