I want to go somewhere dramatic like I was in a movie or something. That’s like: the desert, a really good beach resort, northern Alaska where it’s daylight for half the year and night the other half, the Amazon jungle, an ice cave, someplace where the sky is a different color for a long time, someplace new, really. Though I might never be in any movies it’s not stopping me from doing something cool.

Well what’s your favourite country? Do you want to go to the snow, a tropical place or just middle temperature? From that, you can figure out where you’d like to go. If you don’t want to go too far, you could go to a neighbouring country.
I’ve always wanted to go skiing and snowboarding, that might be fun for you. Or hanging out at a nice beach. A cruise sounds pretty cool too, so its really up to what you think you’d enjoy most 🙂
Have a great birthday.

Hydroelectricity, I’m guessing. That’s what made the Hoover Dam such a great feat of engineering, for sure.

Q&A: Any recommendations for a 2-3 trip starting point Hangzhou, China?

Question by Dorit-:): Any recommendations for a 2-3 trip starting point Hangzhou, China?
We are planning a trip on the second half on March. We like to travel on our own, no guided tours, possibly meeting with local guides in points of interest.
We are concerned about the weather. Is it too cold for traveling in the area?
We thought about trip on the Yangtze river.
Any recommendations?

2-3 days is not much to visit the Yangtze, but it’s doable.

The other “obvious” choices in that area would of course be Souzhou and Shanghai.

World cruises are usually anywhere from 90 to 110 days. You can take segments if you like. If you want to be gone about 50 days, there are cruises that go around South America, and cruises that go around the Pacific. Your travel agent can help you find them!
