Question by John K: Do dolphins need salt water to survive? If so, why?
I know that there is (was) the Baiji dolphin in the Yangtze River in China. I am under the impression that other dolphins require salt water. Is this true? What does salt water provide to the animal for survival?

The system is perfect, the flaw is human. Discuss in a philosophical aspects.?

Question by lakaria_2000: The system is perfect, the flaw is human. Discuss in a philosophical aspects.?
Every legal system, government system, ideal or religion can be perfect however the people who implementing it or in control is the one who is flaw. E.g. communism, it a perfect system if the one who is in control really work for the society however look what happen to Russia and China, a group of selfish people exploiting the pooor. Religion, if use for the better of society, can save millions of souls however if use for the worse like incitment of religious war could cause death of millions too. Too many religious leader involve in politic that they should not such as the Pope and the Buddhism leader in Taiwan. Whatever perfect ideals, religion, system will always be tinted as the human who use them is flaw themselves already.
This is show in the movie of Minority Report by Tom Cruise and in real life of how religion can be misuse, ideal can be misuse, law can be misuse etc.
Some answer I got is unsatisfactory, if you cannot answer my question please kindly do not attempt to reply
I start to get some real good answer, thanks and hope to get more.

The system is perfect, the flaw is human.

This is a flawed statement in my opinion. The system exists in the human society and to serve/better human lives. If the system didn’t anticipate and incorporate human variables, how can it be called a perfect system?

A perfect system must be resilient enough to anticipate, incorporate, and recover from participants varying behaviors.

Are human the flaw? You have to go back to the definition of perfect. What is a perfect human? One with no flaw? Is that really a perfect human when human are the ones with emotions and variable reactions to the same stimuli?

By the way, where is the question in this?

Q&A: Isn’t it in China and India’s best interest to clean up the Yangtze and Ganges rivers?

Question by cancersucks: Isn’t it in China and India’s best interest to clean up the Yangtze and Ganges rivers?
Someone once pointed out that the healthcare costs of premature babies is skyrocketing out of control. Well, we have to pay it! What do we want, the human species to die out? Same with the rivers. We cannot live without water. So isn’t it in China and India’s governments interest to clean up the rivers and prevent their pollution so that you don’t have people dying? You have to find a way!!

Best answer:

Answer by Millie C
Despite the fact that U.S. is still the leader in pollution, China will soon surpass us as they continue to industrialize. It’s not just the rivers that are worrisome…you have air pollution, depleting vital resources, endangering species…especially in our oceans. They economy has improved and their population is stabilizing, which is good, but at what cost?

I’m interested in a bike cruise around the world…..?

Question by singaporelosers2: I’m interested in a bike cruise around the world…..?
All I want to do is get the old motorbike out, put a tent on the back and head out. I’m just wondering, as I live in the UK how I could go on an all round the world trip with my bike. I’ve saved up quite a bit of money so I can buy food from the gas stations and stuff but I ‘m guessing I’d have to go on the ferry (pre-booked of course) to France and then head out across europe, through to China, then down to Australia then New Zealand and then back track from there. I was wondering roughly how much it might cost and whether I should split the trip so I just do Europe, then on another Asia and then another trip to America.

Answer by liz down under
Have you watched Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman’s Long Way Round? It is a film of their motorcycle ride from London across Europe and Russia and ending in New York. It shows the obstacles you will face in some countries ie. with visas, bad roads, innaccurate maps, corruption etc. It is worth watching just to see the kinds of things you will be up against and to show you the kind of forward planning you would need to do. If you stick to western Europe, Australia and New Zealand the main thing you would have to worry about is whether you can afford it.

If someone is killed on a swiss cruise ship in international waters and the person who was killed was from?

Question by John D: If someone is killed on a swiss cruise ship in international waters and the person who was killed was from?
US and the person who killed them was from China/North Korea or well any country that dislikes the US but has a good size military. Where will the person be tried? The point of the question is to find out what would happen to the person who broke the law and if two countries that are not on good terms who would try this person. You would assume that a person going to be tried in a country that dislikes americans may have a lighter sentence but if they came to the US they may have a more lengthy sentence. The swiss boat was set in there because the Swiss usually wouldnt get involved in this. So what do you think would happen? Would it involve the military in anyway? If either of these people were in the military would it change how this was tried? There is alot of what if in this question to make this happen but it could.

Im not worried about spelling or grammer mistakes just answer the ?
O and yes landlock countries do actually own cruise ships. They do not have to have ports for them to be owned by a country. This questions does not state they left from a Swiss port.
So if the country the ship next docks at is Anti America then the person who killed an american could maybe get an easier sentence?
No im not planning anything I was just asking that because we have tension between many countries and was wondering if tension could lead to problems from the military or economic

Do me a favor….Look up the Achille Lauro hijacking and the murder of Leon Klinghoffer. The Achille Lauro was an Italian liner, Leon Klinghoffer was an American citizen, and he was murdered by Muslim extremists.
