ebay listing removed after i bought it and received shipping confirmation?

Question by : ebay listing removed after i bought it and received shipping confirmation?
i purchased and paid for an item right before i went on a week long cruise, and when i got back from the cruise i had a message from ebay saying that they removed the listing because of suspected copyright infringement or something. the message said not to pay for the item and i was like uh it’s a little late for that considering i bought it a week ago…

but anyway, i opened a case like ebay instructed me to do, and none of the case options really applied to what happened to me..i just picked ‘i bought an item and i haven’t received it yet’ because that’s what ebay said to do.

so then, i get confirmation from ebay that the case is open. the next day, i get a message saying the seller has provided shipping information. i got a message that said ‘hi, i sent the item and here is the tracking number. please believe i am an honest seller, the item should arrive from china in 11-22 days.”

i verified the tracking number on the postal service website and the item had, in fact, shipped.

what should i do? should i wait for the item to get here and then ask for a refund? i mean, it’s on its way..i’m just very confused ):

I’d cancel the dispute once I receive the item.

any ideas of a relaxing enjoyable time ? preferably a beach..?

Question by : any ideas of a relaxing enjoyable time ? preferably a beach..?
i want to go somewhere with a beach, not somewhere in or really close to the US but around the other half of the world.
Ive been to the states, china, korea, thailand, philippines and i really do like those places but this time i want to go somewhere really peaceful but fun, like a beach with shopping centers or a boardwalk(if they have those there), and lots of fun entertainment. Also like a really beautiful scenery and maybe scuba diving. horseback riding sounds fun, and Id rather not hike. I wanted a cruise, but i don’t think a cruise,,my mind is open and id LOVE to hear of places that are affordable and worth the visit ASAP ! thank you 🙂
oh and id like to go for spring break. it’ll probably be just me. id like to meet new people, maybe experience another culture?not really sure, just some ideas.. but definately a beach, because of a move to another country,,i went through rough times, and i miss the beach and need some time to have fun and let the stress out. so im wondering whether there is a place that’s both really peaceful and yet exciting. and so the states is not an option. i hope this helps more

Hands down, Seychelles!! Stay at a guest house, and not hotels…you can get nice bungalows right at the beach. The islands are famous for huge granite rocks laying around, and it offers great scuba diving.

Q&A: If you were on a sinking ship?

Question by Sam-I-Am: If you were on a sinking ship?
What would be the one thing you’d carry around with you in constant fear?

I had this wacked dream this morning that I was on this holiday cruise with all my friends, the daily activities included bull riding in the sea and tea partys with fancy china.

One of the bulls got out the water and was hella mad, he ran around knocking into people and walls etc, everyone was gathered in this massive room, the the ship began filling with water and thick mud.

So began our quest to escape, only I couldnt concentrate because I was clutching a polka dot china cup under my arm.

Very weird. If only I was more resourceful, I should try Lucid Dreaming.
Seriously, lifeboats and jackets are out the question, youre pretty much going to die. Sorry.

Criticism on these brief essays on something that made this school stand out for me and something that i have ?

Question by ortiz: Criticism on these brief essays on something that made this school stand out for me and something that i have ?
I have ascended to heaven and have found it blissfully sweet. Such astounding inspiring, defining, and life changing was the time I spent at the Governor’s Honors program this past summer that only those words and that comparison can do it justice. The Governor’s Honors Program is designed to house the most talented, motivated, and academically gifted students of the Georgia and allow them to do what they do best. All the while creating an ideal enviorment for camaraderie. Yes the course work was indeed challenging , but because it was something I am deeply interested about (social studies) I had no problem with th work. I would not learn anywhere else that a serial killer is a product of severe neglect issues or that some a re just born that way. It is eerie yet fascinating at the same time to know that we have that knowledge at our disposal. The same could be said about a dam. It is hard to just take a day and ponder about a dam unless you are an engineer or someone that works with dams on a day to day basis. Yet the construction of a dam has huge implications and is a major decision that should not be made lightly by anyone. For example the Three Gorges dam in China will be so grand that it will be visible from space and be able to provide the rapidly developing nation of china with a renewable form of energy. At the same time the dam will cause deforestation and waste. The Yangtze river was one of the fastest in the world and that allowed it to push all the toxic material being poured into it out of China, but the dam will slow it down and the waste will be allowed to build up causing huge environmental distress in China. Besides the learning, the program allowed me to connect with people that were just like me. The kids at the program all were highly motivated and will be hugely successful just like I plan to be. It is awe inspiring to sit at a table with a complete group of strangers, that are not at the Governor’s school in the same area you are, and just start discussing politics and leave lunch learning something new. It always astounded me that I could talk about nearly anything and my peers would understand what I was talking about, something which does not happen to often at my high school.

What captured my attention about Emory was your Hispanic recruiter Simona Perales. Last year while attending a Hispanic convention, Si Se Puede, I learned about emory. After getting home,. I researched the institution and saw the demographics and type of students there. Emory has something I have found rare in my college selection process. What makes this institution stand out in my opinion is the people that make it up ,the students. As a graduate of the governor’s Honors program I have had the opportunity to meet like minded, highly motivated individuals. In my mind, Emory University is just like that only about 10 times bigger. I had the best 6 weeks of my life at the governors school and I met people that I am sure will be lifelong friends.

Check spelling mistakes obviously. Need a little better organization on the top one. Ideas are ok. Bottom one is weak. You might want to find out who graduated from there, and is now famous or doing work in the field you like. Then you can say, that you were impressed with the college because of its success in turning out successful people like X Y and Z. you believe that this college will help you achieve your personal goals and perhaps push you to achieve even more than you thought possible.

Question by : Can someone please help?
The Chinese government is constructing the largest dam ever built in an effort to control the Yangtze River. In at least 5 paragraphs I want you to give details about this dam and what kind of impact it will have on China and possibly even the world. You should include information about the structure itself, the positive and negative results of building the Three Gorges Dam and possibly your opinion on the matter which should be supported with reasons why.

CAN SOMEONE JUST PLEASE HELP ME JUST START IT OUT.
like a paragraph so I can keep going from there so I could understand better on what to do on this project

Do US Navy torpedoes have the speed to sink this ship?

Question by Jack P: Do US Navy torpedoes have the speed to sink this ship?
Should the need arise?

It travels from China to the west coast of the US carrying cargo in four days. Goes back to China deadhead [empty] to pick up another load of rubber monster toys for US consumers.

The time might come when the US Navy is charged with sinking ships such as this one. Will they need to use aircraft, cruise missiles, or will our submarines be capable of catching it?

Hypothetically in this situation what stand do you think the Philippines will make?

Question by delive_rance: Hypothetically in this situation what stand do you think the Philippines will make?
People’s Republic of China invaded the Democratic Republic of China which is Taiwan and to the other side North Korea began to invade the South and also agitated Japan with its cruise missiles launch toward the islands within Japan territories.

What will the Philippines do in this kind of scenario within Southeast Asian countries involved in such tremendous pressure from the US government to stop hostilities.
We always have the notion that the hostilities will not spill over to our own backyard that is why we probably do nothing about it, but as nation that is not suppose our attitude don’t you think as a party of the whole Southeast Asian countries and a part of the UN nation we should some how built a solid solution to the conflict. As a President of the Philippines what do you think you should be doing instead of watching it live on tv? As one suggest here that as a poor country we mind our own business the same attitude before WW2 when Japan invaded China nobody leap a finger against it and the whole region came up in flames later on when Japan invaded all the countries in Southeast Asia. We should learn from our history books.

Aussie travelling to USA – your suggestions?!?

Question by : Aussie travelling to USA – your suggestions?!?
My partner & I are travelling to the USA in August/September 2011 and I’d like some pointers from some locals if possible please… We wanted to do so much but after consideration we have realized that we just can’t cram it all into one trip and are best to really have a good look at a couple of places and if need be its just a good excuse to come back for a second trip.

When flying to USA from Australia, you have to fly into LA before anywhere else so we might as well spend a day or two there to start with. My partner really (for some reason) doesn’t want to be in LA so just thought we could do Disneyworld and universal studios in Orlando…

Please see my “hopeful” itinerary below and let me know if you think I should can anything or add anything… thank you for all your help!

LOS ANGELES – 2 days
-Walk of Fame
-Venice Beach
-Sunset Blvd
-Rodeo Drive

LAS VEGAS – 4 days
-Caesars Palace
-Treasure Island
-Bellagio Fountains
-Venetian Hotel/Casino
-M&M/Coca Cola factory
-Cirque Du Soleil (if in town at that time)
-Mandalay Bay Aquarium (maybe not if the aquarium in Miami is better?)
-Grand Canyon

ORLANDO – 3 days
-Disneyworld
-Seaworld
-Universal Studios
-Ripleys believe it or not
-Kennedy Space Centre

MIAMI 2 – 3 days
-Metro Zoo
-Seaquarium
-Maybe do a Bahamas cruise

BALTIMORE 1 – 2 days
-My partner LOVES NFL and we are hoping once the draw comes out we might be able to catch a Baltimore game as they’re his fav team!

NEW JERSEY – 3 days
-Cape May whale cruise

When in new jersey we will be spending time with family so they are going to do the whole “local tour guide” thing, same goes for New York City below, my dad and his partner are flying straight to LA then to NYC and going down to New Jersey for a week and then onto New York with other family for a week also doing the local tour guide thing… I don’t necessarily want to be in Jersey for a whole week so that’s why I threw Baltimore in there… not sure if a trip to see the whitehouse is worth the trouble?

NEW YORK CITY – 7+ days
-Time Square
-Statue Of Liberty
-Brooklyn Bridge
-Empire State Building
-Wall Street
-Central Park
-Rockefeller Centre
-China Town
-Soho district
-Ground Zero (which I believe has now been reinvented into a memorial park?)
-Staten Island
-Broadway Show?! I hope to catch one..

Any suggestions?!

We have a month maximum

Thanks!
