2. Golden gate bridge 2. Muir wood national monument
3. Alcatraz 3. Napa and sonoma valley
4. Cable car 4. Bay Cruise
5. Lombard street 5. Big Sur or Sonoma coast
6. Golden gate park 6. Monterey and Santa Cruz

I have just a few comments. It costs about $ 25 per person to take the boat to Alcatraz, and I doubt it’s worth it unless you’re really into Alcatraz. Winchester mystery house is in San Jose, which is about an hour drive from SF. Similarly, Stanford and Yosemite are not actually in SF and would probably require a car to get there. Actually, going to Napa and Big Sur would require a car too.

Since you’re only going to be in SF for a weekend, it would be best spent actually in the city. I would suggest Fisherman’s Wharf/Pier 39, Golden Gate Bridge, Chinatown, Lombard Street, and Union Square. They are all roughly in the same area of SF and accessible by the Muni bus system. Experiencing all these things is free for the most part. You will have a blast!

Edit: To the person who attempted to debunk my information, nowhere is Golden Gate Park or UC Berkeley in my list of faraway places. Also, when I referred to the places to go, “roughly” indicates that they aren’t exactly next door to each other, but they are in about the same part of SF, namely, the northern part.

Q&A: What do you think about Kevin Rudd’s outrage?

Question by Faruque Bin Laden: What do you think about Kevin Rudd’s outrage?
For details:
Dear Kevin
http://au.blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-GofJ21okda.DNLfej1ZAxnAS.aFD?p=47

Israeli Holocaust was planned and executed by the successive Israeli governments and they are undeniable Jewish Conspiracies. So are Holocaust continuum and The Iron Wall in front of you and me.

I find your stage managed selective moral outrage in China is hypocritical as well as seriously disturbing. You do not like Chinese violation of “human rights”! However, you are not outraged by the well planned ethnic cleansing and apartheid continuum of Israel as mentioned below!

Because, unlike holy Israel, the Chinese never used F18, apache helicopters, tanks, machine guns, cruise missiles against unarmed women and children in their own backyards and schoolyards.

I’m having REALLY weird dreams?

Question by : I’m having REALLY weird dreams?
Okay, weird dreams don’t cause me stress in my waking hours, but I would like to have just one night of a dreamless sleep. (Yes, I prefer a dreamless sleep over any type of dream.) I had a dream that I woke up on a beach because a coconut landed on my face, and I was hungry. My clothes were raggedy so I was stranded on the Island. (assumed.) I saw floating pot stickers in the water so I rushed to the ocean and started eating them quickly. Suddenly, a cruise ship comes by and it turns out that they dumped pot stickers into the water by accident. They see me eating pot stickers and rescue me. I get saved and then I meet the mangaka Tite Kubo on the ship and he was wearing white (with sunglasses on his face) and he was glowing. He walks towards me and says “Time will come, you just WAIT!” I wake up and then I was like “…”

I don’t eat things before bed. The last thing I ate before that night was cashew nuts, which was about 5 hours before. (I sleep at 3 am). Before I sleep, I draw and listen to either classical music, Ancient China kung fu OSTs, or KPOP. (This case, I was listening to SNSD.) I am not stressed during the day, but I love my waking hours. When I go to bed, I loathe it because I will have another weird dream. (Yesterday, I had a dream about me being an Assassin from Assassin;s Creed II.) I wasn;t playing Ac2 that night, but I was just looking at Art on deviantART. (I’m rambling now, ughh.) Do you guys have any tips so I could soothe my brain? Thanks..

Where do I start, Oikos?

“Articles in the gray literature are not always wrong.”

Maybe SOMEBODY should check it out.

‘ It seems strange that you cavil at gray literature while citing a newspaper editorial as your source.”

The IPCC report is “gray literature”??

At least the newspaper article vetted its sources.

Articles in the gray literature are not always wrong. Most of it consist of government publications. As long as there is no pressure put on the agency from the White House (“W”e “W”on’t mention names.), the publications are usually as accurate at those in the peer-reviewed literature. It seems strange that you cavil at gray literature while citing a newspaper editorial as your source.

Q&A: Should I tell my wife all of my business trip plans?

Question by Victor: Should I tell my wife all of my business trip plans?
In between China and India I am planning to stop over a few days in Phuket, Thailand, where I will probably lay on the beach with topless European women and cruise several nightclubs that are packed with Thai prostitutes. I may possibly rent a motor scooter so that I can take one or more of them back to my hotel room.

I also hope to snorkel, either at the north end of Kata beach or off of Phi Phi island.

Would it be practical for me to elaborate with my wife on the details of this weekend stopover in the middle of my lengthy and important business trip?

I’m going to China next year and wanted to know whats the best way to see Guilin, Yangshuo, and Longsheng(rice terraces) in 4 full days(3 nights). I was thinking:

Day 3: Yangshuo day trip(li river cruise) or possibly spend the night?
Day 4: Explore rest of Guilin and fly out
